That’s why we do what we do—planning extravagant weddings and honeymoons for lovely couples just like you! So, what should you expect in the days leading up to your big getaway? Well, we’ve laid it all out for you below…this should make things even more seamless and exciting!
9-12 Months Before Your Honeymoon
This part of planning will start with the basics and typically mark your first interaction with our team and your Honeymoon Specialist. Together during this time, we will:
- Set your budget.
- Begin to provide you with hotel and resort options to choose from (customized to your preferences).
All of these steps will be covered in the 9-12 month period before your honeymoon.
6-9 Months Before Your Honeymoon
- Book your reservations.
- Determine and decide on some of the finer details for your honeymoon.
- Set activities and preferences for your trip and introduce ideas of activities, entertainment, food, amenities, and more.
- Obtain passports and/or visas (if not already secured).
- Our team will guide you on applying for passports or visas if desired.
3 Months Before Your Honeymoon
Once you reach the 3-month mark before departure, you will for sure be feeling the excitement—and we’ll be right there with you to make sure that excitement continues through the entire trip. In this timeframe, we will:
- We will finalize your full itinerary (we make sure it encompasses everything we discussed and planned like golf, tours and excursions, spa days, and so much more).
- We will determine if the destination requires any specific vaccinations or health screenings.
This will be a period of time where our team will be directly involved with you to ensure that all the finer details are taken care of and that your trip is set up for success. We’ll be available to answer any questions that you may have and provide you with the next steps.
1 Month Before Your Honeymoon
Things really start feeling real once you hit the 1-month mark till your honeymoon, and it’ll be a time when we make sure you are prepared, personally, for the trip. During this time, you will:
- Create a list of items to take on your trip.
- Ensure you are prepared with any medications or prescriptions.
- Connect with airlines about any specifics for your trip.
Our team will be there every step of the way as you prepare for your honeymoon! It is always our #1 goal to ensure your honeymoon is as seamless and memorable as possible, so we will do our best to make sure you have all of the essentials you need for the perfect trip.
The Week Before Your Honeymoon & Departure Day
We’ll be personally contacting our connections at the resort, reaffirming any special requests and informing them of the arrival of our VIP guests. By planning with us, you receive special attention compared to those who book directly through the hotel or an online platform. Before embarking on your dream honeymoon, let’s ensure all essential details are reviewed. Here are a few must-check items to consider:
- Hold your mail at the post office.
- Photocopy your passport and other important paperwork.
- Call your credit card company and let them know you will be traveling.
- Pack your bags – very exciting, but remember to plan for the weather and forecast!
- Determine parking options at the airport.
- Print out or download your itinerary.
With our team as your guide, you will have exclusive support to help you feel well-prepared with everything you may need for your honeymoon. All good things come with a good plan—we have the plan and the insight you’ll need for your perfect getaway. You’ll be set on departure day with everything ready in advance, and if barriers do pop up, we’ll help you work through them too.
Tips for During & After
We highly encourage you to take full advantage of your itinerary and really stretch out at your resort. Enjoy the spa, get plenty of beach time, frequent the different pool bars, restaurants, and enjoy all the extras of your room! If you re-book while at your destination, we’ll help you set up a transfer so you can continue to experience the value of our service. Be sure to take lots of pictures and share your memories with our team. We LOVE when we get to see more of your honeymoon!
